What to wear
Come comfortable in clothing you wouldn’t mind getting a little color or lightener on. Save your precious pieces for another day—hair color can stain fabric.
We’ll provide a protective cape, and appreciate you dressing with color day in mind.
Your first visit
Tell us about your hair, its color history and the look you have in mind so we can help plan your appointment.
Make a day of it
Good hair is a great excuse to explore. These are a few of our favorite stops around the Arts District and nearby Downtown LA.
Art & a little inspiration
See what’s on at Hauser & Wirth, Night Gallery and the Institute of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (ICA LA). Each has its own exhibition calendar, so check what’s on before you go.
Shop & wander
Start next door at Common Wave Hi-Fi for beautiful sound systems and listening inspiration. Browse fashion at Dover Street Market Los Angeles, or explore the independent shops, restaurants and creative spaces at ROW DTLA. Little Tokyo is another nearby neighborhood to explore.
Stay for a bite—or a nightcap
Everson Royce Bar is a salon favorite—our vote for the best biscuits in town. Make a dinner plan at Bavel, Manuela at Hauser & Wirth, or Damian, and stop by Death & Co for cocktails.
For more special-occasion dining, explore Michelin Guide restaurants Camphor and Hayato.
Soho Warehouse is also in the Arts District; access is subject to its membership and guest policies. Check opening hours, exhibitions, reservations and travel time before heading out.
